Had an amazing weekend away with my medieval reenactment group (Cardiff Castle Garrison). Was given a distaff so soon I'm going to start spinning my own yarn. For the first time I managed to make pancakes on a griddle over an open fire. It went well and they tasted good.
Aching a bit and suffering with a headache so watching The Hollow Crown and knitting some squares ready to be made up in to a shawl.

Sorry I haven't blogged for a while, I've been busy and I've been away. I've just come back from a few days taking my daughter to Warwick Castle and Stratford upon Avon. She loves Shakespeare. The castle was amazing and I definitely recommend going to see the War of the Roses event. There was a lady jouster. AWESOME. And the man playing Henry Tudor was very cute. Love a man in armour 😉. Took loads of pics of costumes and finally bought The Tudor Tailor book that my course tutor recommended. Now time to get crafting, the shop isn't going to fill and open itself now is it. |
